DGP Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that the special investigation team probing the ghee adulteration case has stopped the investigation temporarily.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Tirupati Laddu prasadam case has paused its investigation until October 3, following a Supreme Court hearing. Andhra Pradesh DGP, Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, confirmed the suspension as a precautionary measure to safeguard the investigation's integrity.

The Andhra Pradesh Police have temporarily stopped a probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the alleged adulteration of Tirupati laddu, in view of the observations made by the Supreme Court, it was announced on Tuesday.

Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao on Tuesday said that the state government constituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) will temporarily stall its probe into the alleged 'adulteration' of Tirupati laddus with animal fats case as the matter is sub judice in the Supreme Court.
