Wallace, 60, sparked a backlash on social media for the way he has dealt with the accusations that have seen him step down from MasterChef after nearly 20 years.

Arlene Phillips weighed in on the Gregg Wallace fiasco as she made an appearance at The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical premiere on Sunday night. 

The contestant, who did not want to be identified, alleges that he was so 'horrified' by the 'toxic environment' during filming for the show that he wanted to quit on his first day.
