SteelSeries launches new white color of the Arctis Nova 5

SteelSeries has announced a new color to the Arctis Nova 5 lineup with the new white Arctis Nova 5 wireless gaming headset. Most of the SteelSeries gaming peripherals come in classic black and white colors. With a few models here and there coming in some limited edition designs. Like the Destiny 2: The Final Shape collection that launched earlier this year.

It’s also the latest in the Nova series to get this new color. The Nova 7 was launched in a white color a little over one year ago, and the Arctis Nova Pro was launched in white back at the end of April. While there’s nothing really different about this version of the headset compared to the black one, it’s a style choice for certain gamers.

You might prefer a lighter-colored headset that blends well with the rest of your setup. Say you have a white desk and all or most of your other tech, including the PC, is white as well. A white headset like this new Arctis Nova 5 from SteelSeries helps complete that look you’re going for.

The white SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 headset launches today for $130

If you’re looking to get your hands on this headset, SteelSeries is launching it today for $130. Right now it looks like the white model is only available directly from SteelSeries. But it will eventually be available from retail partners as well.

That being said, if you don’t mind the black color, you can pick that model up from Amazon for $110, saving yourself $20. These are both the exact same headset. So there are no feature differences or anything like that. You get the same 60+ hours of battery life, a Discord-certified mic for chat, and Neodymium Magnetic Drivers for enhanced sound and audio detail.

The Arctis Nova 5 doesn’t have simultaneous audio from two different sources. However, it can connect to different sources at once. For example, if you’re connected to your PS5 with the 2.4GHz low-latency dongle, you can also connect to your phone via Bluetooth. Then you just need to tap a button to swap between the two sources.

Customize your sound with SteelSeries Sonar software

The Arctis Nova 5 sounds pretty good right out of the box. But if you want it to sound even better, you can personalize your sound with the SteelSeries Sonar software. To access this, you have to install the SteelSeries GG app on your PC and/or mobile device, and then link the headset to it. From there, you can choose from 100 different audio presets for specific games. You can also custom-tune your own sound profiles.

SteelSeries GG and the Sonar software are pretty powerful tools to boost the audio in the headset. They work pretty well and it’s worth installing if you want the best experience with the new Arctis Nova 5.
