If you're shopping for the holidays or simply want to add an ultraportable laptop to your setup without breaking the bank, this Air is worth checking out. It does have the last-gen M2 chip and 256GB storage, but if you aren't using this system for heavy photo and video editing and are looking for a machine on a budget, this is a viable option to consider.
The price cut is especially attractive as Apple bumped standard MacBook Air models up to 16GB RAM in late October, finally putting the 8GB configs on closeout. At press time, 8GB models can be found for as low as $699.99 with an on-page coupon at Amazon.
