ITV I'm A Celebrity's Maura Higgins makes dating admission and shares three-word opinion on beau

I'm A Celebrity's Maura Higgins appeared to confirm her relationship with Stricly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks as she made a frank admission in the jungle. The Irish beauty, who first rose to fame on Love Island, was being quizzed by her fellow campmates about her love life.

She revealed she had been dating someone important before flying out to Australia, and admitted she was missing them in the jungle and that things 'felt different' with him. She also gave her tough three-word opinion on her love, saying: "He's not an a******."

Asked if she was single, Maura told them: "I am but I was seeing someone before I came in." She was then asked if the relationship was 'exclusive'.

Maura admitted: "I don't know....I don't know the rules." She then revealed: "I already know him."

Reverend Richard Coles asked her 'it's a changing relationship?'. Maura coyly replied 'Yes', before agreeing again when Radio 1 star Dean McCullough asked her 'Is it someone well known and that's why you're...?'.

Oti Mabuse told her they would 'stop asking', as Maura told the Bush camera: "I just want to keep that very [clicking noise with her tongue] for now."

But Dean probed further, asking: "So recently since you've been in here have you gone 'Oh my God I miss him?'. Maura admiited: "Yeah."

She then revealed: "I don't even think I've been in love." She told the Bush camera: "Im not necessarily looking for love. I know I'm good on my own. I've been always fine on my own. But it would be nice."

She was then asked by Dean 'does it feel different this time?'. Maura admitted: "It does, but then is it because we've known each other for a long time?"

"You'd know if he was a******," Rev Richard Coles offered up. Maura agreed: "Yeah he's not an a******."

Pete and Maura had been rumoured to be dating as he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing. The pair had been spotted kissing at public events.

The former TOWIE star has previously spoken about his commitment issues. Opening up about his self-doubt and abandonment issues, he shared on the High Performance podcast: "As soon as that kind of closeness develops, I'm like, 'Right I'm off then', it's a case of leaving before someone leaves you.

"Again [abandonment issues], that's a really common thing, but you're basically self-sabotaging and this is the control freak part, at least I'm in control of that."
