BBC Strictly star 'on track' to make history with huge milestone on show
by Hamaiz Iqbal · Wales OnlineTasha Ghouri is making waves on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, and former professional dancer Brendan Cole believes she's on the verge of a significant achievement.
During Icons Week, Tasha and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec wowed with a couple's choice routine to P!nk's What About Us on Saturday evening. The duo nearly cinched a perfect score of 40 for their dance, narrowly missing out with their total of 39.
Craig Revel Horwood scored them a 9, while Motsi Mabuse, Anton du Beke, and Shirley Ballas each awarded them 10s. But Brendan has now suggested that the Love Island alumni is "on track" for that elusive perfect score, hinting it could be just around the corner.
In a conversation with Sky Vegas, Brendan shared his insights: "Tasha [Ghouri] could definitely be on course for the perfect 40 very soon. She's clearly very talented and will no doubt have many perfect scores for the second half of the show," reports the Express.
He praised her natural ability, saying: "When she dances, she has an ease of movement, she is clearly very talented, and looks like she belongs on the dance floor."
On their performance night, Tasha and Aljaz received not only high praise from the judges but also a standing ovation from Motsi. Motsi was moved by their performance, remarking: "Sometimes in life, things happen to us for a reason and we never know why. And we never know in which direction it will go bad for you, look at what direction you have now brought to us."
She continued, "You are on Strictly, we love you, you are representing. That was a powerful dance, powerful words and you made that look so easy."
"That was so difficult. So you are speaking to a lot of people out there, inspiring, keep going. We love you here."
Olympian Sam Quek and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin were the latest couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing following Sunday night's results show. They found themselves in the bottom two alongside Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe.
After a nail-biting dance-off, the judges unanimously chose to save Montell, sealing Sam and Nikita's fate on the show. The pair performed one last dance before taking their final bow.
Brendan Cole was speaking to Sky Vegas. Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:35pm on BBC One.
