Explosion on Heraklion Airport Aircraft Causes Panic

A pwerful explosion onboard a plane at Heraklion Airport caused a brief panic among passengers, but no injured were reported.

According to local news source creta24.gr, the explosion occurred shortly before the aircraft's scheduled departure for the United Kingdom on Tuesday.

The source of the blast was determined to be electronic devices – a power bank and an e-cigarette – found in a passenger's carry-on bag.

As a result of the incident, the aircraft, carrying 236 passengers, was grounded. Police forces were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate the matter.
