Polling stations are closing, prompting news broadcasters to ask everyday people who they voted for and why.
Some people may have voted for Vice President Kamala Harris because of her views on protecting women's healthcare...
Some may appreciate her policy on taxing the uber-wealthy...
And some people, like this guy from North Carolina, only voted because his girlfriend told him to.

In a video that has since gone viral with over 1.6 million views on X (formerly known as Twitter), a voter from North Carolina was asked what inspired him to wait in polling lines.
"I wasn't going to vote at all," they admitted. "Until my girlfriend was blowing up my phone telling me to go vote, and if I didn't, she was going to break up with me. So now I'm here."
"Was she seriously going to break up with you?" the CNN interviewer asked.
"No, I made that up — she didn't say that," they said before confirming that their girlfriend did ask that they vote for Harris.
"I wasn't going to vote at all... I was going to stay home. Eat some chips or something. I don't know," they concluded.
Regardless, reactions to the clip can be summed up thusly:
Shoutout to everyone who voted. It would have been easy to just eat some chips, but you did it!
