Gordon Ramsay breaks silence with sweet message to Adam Peaty after engagement to daughter

Holly and Adam met in 2021 when her sister Tilly and Adam were competing on Strictly Come Daning

Gordon Ramsay has sent a touching message to his daughter Holly and her fiance Adam Peaty after the couple announced their engagement. The couple first met in 2021 when Peaty appeared on Strictly Come Dancing along with Holly's younger sister Tilly.

They did not make their relationship official until June last year. The celebrity chef's daughter shared the happy news on social media last Thursday.

Holly, 24, wrote: "Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you and I cannot wait to be your wife."

Olympic swimmer Peaty, 29, also expressed his happiness, saying: "I can't believe you're going to be my wife. I'm truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace."

Holly showed off a yellow diamond ring in the pictures. Her dad has now given his opinion on the engagement, telling Adam he is a 'very lucky man' as he welcomed him to the family.

He shared: "Congratulations to this gorgeous girl @hollyramsayy....so happy for you and @adam_peaty ! Hols, watching you become the woman you are today with your kindness and your love is absolutely infectious... Adam is a very lucky man! Welcome to the family. One down, two to go."

Peaty expressed his joy about the engagement on Instagram, saying: "Your family has always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can't wait to be joined with them too. I've always believed that when two people are engaged and later married, we are no longer two people but we join as one, and it's the biggest privilege to share that with you."

Gordon has six children with his wife Tana. The pair became first-time parents in 1998 after welcoming their eldest daughter, Megan.Their brood grew to a family of six with the birth of fraternal twins in 1999, daughter Holly Anna and son Jack Scott.

They welcomed daughter and former Strictly star Matilda, aka Tilly, in 2001 before their son Oscar was born in 2019. Tana gave birth to their son Jesse James in 2023.
