BREAKING: BBC Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaž Škorjanec breaks silence after drunken co-star bust up claims

Strictly Come Dancing star Aljaž Škorjanec has finally addressed speculation over his disagreement with a fellow cos-star during the rehearsals of the popular BBC show

Strictly Come Dancing star Aljaž Škorjanec has finally addressed claims of a drunken confrontation with a co-star and said it was "difficult to read."

The professional dancer who has only just returned to the BBC show after years away, claimed he was devastated at the claims made against him, last month. But now, finally being able to voice his truth, Aljaž told the Daily Star: "It's difficult to read. Of course it's hurtful. It's a bit out of my control. All I can do is have my chin up and move forward. That's the best thing to do."

The pro dancer has insisted he is not guilty of claims of abuse. He continued: "Strictly changed my life when I was in my early 20s. It gave me a chance to show my passion and love to dance. It is such an honour. I've always seen it that way. It just humbles you. All I've ever tried to do is my absolute best. "All I've ever tried to do is my absolute best and contribute to Strictly in the best and the kindest possible way."

Aljaz and Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has topped the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard after receiving the first scores of nine of the series. The reality star, who is the show’s second deaf contestant, dazzled the judges with her elegant Viennese waltz to Misty Blue by Dorothy Moore with her partner Aljaz.

After landing the top score of 35, host Claudia Winkleman revealed it was the highest score for the Viennese waltz in week two in the show’s history.
