Exactly 100 years to the day since its formation New Abbey SWI celebrated its centenary in the Abbey Tea Rooms.

Current president Yvonne Weymouth welcomed guests including national president Mary Burney, federation president Lesley Malcolmson and guests.

After grace, members enjoyed an excellent meal before Mary Burney and Mary Sommerville, one of the longest serving members, cut the cake.

Members then enjoyed looking at a display of photos and snippets from the minutes and rural magazine from the early years to the present day.
