After calling Jaya Bachchan 'arrogant'; Kangana Ranaut now says, 'She's known for her short temper but...'

Kangana Ranaut who has now turned a politician is looking forward to the release of her film Emergency. Due to the controversy and backlash, Emergency has been postponed. The movie was slated to release on September 6, however, it did not get a clean chit from the Censor Board leading to the delay and postponement of the film. The actress has been on toes giving out several interviews and also commenting on topics that are trending. Earlier, she commented on Jaya Bachchan opposing to being called as 'Jaya Amitabh Bachchan' in the Parliament. But, now, Kangana has called Jaya Bachchan a 'dignified actress'.

In an interview with News18, Kangana Ranaut spoke about Jaya Bachchan sending a message about women empowerment with the kind of movies she chose back in the days. She stated that even though Jaya Bachchan is known for her short temper, she would like to give credit to the veteran star for her films. She also called her the 'most dignified women' in the industry. Kangana was quoted saying, "Honestly, she’s known for her short temper, but at the same time, I’d like to give her the acknowledgement and due credit that in those times… you can imagine that in the 1970s, at a time when women had to roast their skin in the (harsh) lighting, she did films like Guddi back then. She sent a message of women empowerment through that." Further, she also commented that Jaya Bachchan serves as a good representation from the film industry in the Rajya Sabha given how she carries herself.

Earlier in an interview with Fever FM, Kangana had commented on Jaya Bachchan's objection to be being referred to with husband's name. The Emergency actress had commented that 'This arrogance has not spared even the beautiful bond within families'. It was all over entertainment news.
