Somy Ali on ex Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai's relationship that compelled her to leave, 'Was getting information from the servants...'

In an interview, Salman Khan's ex Somy Ali has opened up about her breakup and the superstar's love story with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Read on.

During the 90s, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were an IT couple. The duo met on the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and their love story began. However, things didn't work out between the two later. When Ash and Salman started dating, Khan was in a relationship with Somy Ali. In fact, Salman and Somy used to live together at that time.

In an interview, Somy Ali has now opened up about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's blossoming relationship back then, which led to her breakup. In an interview with Times Now, Somy recalled an incident when she called on the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. She told the portal that Salman didn't pick up the call as the shoot was going on. She then called director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who told her that Khan can't speak to her right now as he's doing a shot. That's when Somy asked him, 'I was like, 'if he in a shot, why aren't you directing it? Why are you picking up my phone call?' The logic defied me. He was cornered by me and didn't know what to say."

Further in this entertainment news, Somy Ali revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan used to come to Salman Khan's gym when they were living together. Somy and Salman lived on the ground floor of Galaxy, where they also had a gym. When asked if Salman and Ash fell in love while working together at the gym, Somy responded that the actor fell in love while shooting for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

"I was getting information from the servants inside who favoured me. I knew in my heart that their relationship was something that's going to blossom. I knew it's time for me to leave," revealed the actress. After dating for a few years, Salman and Aishwarya brokeup in 2002. The Devdas actress ended the relationship after the relationship became abusive.

In an interview in the past with TOI, Ash stated that for the sake of her well-being and sanity, she will not work with Salman Khan. She called his chapter a 'nightmare' and said that she's thankful to god that it is over.
