BBC Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse 'speechless' after public votes
by Katy Hallam, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/katy-hallam/ · Birmingham LiveStrictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse was left 'speechless' after the public votes put 'one of the best dancers' in the competition at risk of going home on Sunday night. The judge spoke out as it was revealed Love Island star Tasha Ghouri was place into the dance-off - despite scoring 38 points out of 40 on Saturday night.
Tasha and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec are the only couple in the BBC dancing show to receive a perfect 40 score so far this series. For their latest dance, a powerful Argentine Tango set to music from musical Six, Motsi gave them a perfect 10, along with fellow judge Anton Du Beke.
Speaking after she was revealed to be in the dance-off alongside Gladiators star Montell Douglas and her partner Johannes Radebe, Motsi said: "I'm speechless, I'm literally really speechless but it is what it is, that is Strictly Come Dancing."

She added: "I loved the dance, we the judges spoke...she was one of the top couples on the ranking list. And the public have spoken and the public have a right to speak.
"They call, they save people. We take it and we do the rest. we judge the dance off.
Craig Revel Horwood was also stunned by the result as he was asked to give advice to Tasha ahead of the dance-off. He said: "I sort of can't believe it because you're one of our best dancers in this competition."
And viewers agreed, taking to X to share their shock, asking: "How on earth could that dance leave Tasha in the dance off."
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday and Sunday to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
