Pete Wicks faces 'curse' fears on Strictly Come Dancing - and it's not because of Jowita

Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced that Pete Wicks is the latest celebrity to be struck by the 'curse' after it was revealed that he will be dancing the Rumba this weekend

Strictly Come Dancing fans believe Pete Wicks is "truly cursed" on learning his routine for the incoming week.

Pete has insisted there is no chance of romance with his professional dance partner Jowita Przysta. Speaking on his podcast recently, he shared: "You wake up on a Sunday morning and it's stories that haven't even happened.

"For example, during the choreography, there's been a story going around for two weeks saying me and Jowita kissed during the dance. Everyone watched it on TV! They called it a 'passionate kiss', it's the choreography! ".

Speaking on the Staying Relevant podcast, Pete remarked: "I had this 'bad boy' persona, and that's my fault, but the person I am now is different to the person I was 11 years ago, and the person I am now is different to the person I will be in 11 years. You as a person move on, but the narrative doesn't. It is what it is and you can't complain."

But could a different curse be about to strike him?

Now, as Pete and Jowita are set to perform a Rumba to Don't Look Back In Anger, Reddit users are sharing their views. One commented: "Truly cursed" echoing the sentiment behind the chosen music and dance style.

While someone else declared: "Pete doing a rumba, that's going to fuel the rumours also that song I wouldn't associate with a rumba," and another fan exclaimed: "A rumba to don't look back in anger wtf no," reports the Express.

So far, the dancing duo's performances have included a Samba to George of the Jungle for Movie Week and a Quickstep to Town Called Malice. Discussing his reasons for participating in the show, he shared: "I've realised life's too short. I lost my nan two years ago, and it's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't get a chance to make her proud before she died. Trying new things, and being a better version of myself, is important to me, because hopefully, she's watching, and she'll be proud."

Another Strictly couple will bid farewell this weekend on the BBC programme, hot on the heels of Nick Knowles' departure last week.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Nick commented: "I've really, really been surprised by how much I've loved doing it and by two things that happen. One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don't want to let down your partner. The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba's changes, she's been amazing."

He added: "Luba's been amazing and just been so fabulous every day. And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people. There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series."
