As a shopping writer, I spend eight hours a day hunting down the very best beauty deals that are actually worth the money, and there’s one from French skincare brand Clarins that’s perfect for skincare fans .It comes as Boots has launched an exclusive gift set , which saves £37 on some of Clarins’ best-loved products.

The health and beauty retailer’s Clarins Double Serum Blockbuster set costs £55, and one of the products inside is worth £59 alone, making the rest of the contents essentially ‘free’. The set is worth £92 and contains a full size Double Serum Eye worth £59, alongside a Gentle Renewing Cleanser 150ml and trial size of the iconic Beauty Flash Balm 30ml.

As part of the offer, each item works out at around £18.33 each, making it cheaper to buy the set than the eye serum individually, Liverpool Echo reports . However, if you did just want the eye serum, that’s currently on offer at Amazon for £48 .

The Clarins Double Serum Eye 20ml was launched off the back of the brand’s number one bestselling face Double Serum, and has racked up thousands of reviews from customers who say it’s keeping their face ‘free of wrinkles’. It’s designed to intensely nourish, smooth and firm the skin, while depuffing and visibly reducing dark circles in ‘just 7 days’, according to the brand.

It’s earned itself a rating of 4.4, with almost 4,000 reviews on the Boots website being five stars. One shopper said: “Great product. I have been using it for 2 months and have noticed a difference. Friends ask what I am doing and have commented about looking younger.”

Another added: “I have used both Double serums (face and eye ) for years. I am always being complimented on my skin , how youthful I look and my lack of wrinkles. It feels very refreshing on application and makes an excellent base for any makeup that I wear. I do sometimes add moisturiser but not often.”

Though some have been frustrated at the packaging, commenting: “I really like this serum. It is essential for my eye wrinkles and the effect is obvious. The only drawback is the pump which is somehow not working smoothly. Still my favourite though!”

And with Christmas on the way, there’s no better time to start thinking about gifts. Not only would this set make a real showstopper of a gift that looks like it costs more than it did, it could also be divided up into three separate presents . Alternatively, you could keep the Double Serum Eye for yourself, and give the two ‘freebies’ as gifts over the festive season.

Boots also has another offer where shoppers can get themselves a free Clinique gift worth £95 when they spend £60 on selected products . But elsewhere, at Marks and Spencer they can bag themselves more than £100 worth of skincare for £40. The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Spa Collection is worth £102 , and contains six Emma Hardie bestsellers for a complete skincare routine, including cleansing balm, hydrating facial mists and hand creams - perfect for anyone who loves a pamper.
