Emmerdale fans 'know what really happened to Caleb's daughter Stephanie' after bombshell

Emmerdale fans think they know the true whereabouts of Caleb and Ruby Miligan's mystery daughter Stephanie on the ITV soap, believing they have worked out what happened to her

Emmerdale viewers think they have rumbled what happened to Caleb Miligan's seemingly estranged daughter Stephanie, after she was mentioned this week.

Caleb confirmed he and Ruby had a daughter named Stephanie as he had a showdown with Ruby's mother Helen. While viewers have met the pair's son Nicky Miligan, Stephanie has never been onscreen.

In fact she's barely ever been mentioned if at all, with only one recalled discussion until now about Caleb having more than one child. Helen was shown asking about her granddaughter Stephanie this week, asking if Caleb had anything to do with her now.

He got defensive, but it's clear he and Ruby are not currently a part of her life. But where is she and where has she been all this time? Why is she seemingly estranged from her family?

Viewers now think they know the truth and what happened to her, amid theories she will make her debut soon. Some fans believe Stephanie is older than Nicky and that Ruby and Caleb were too young to look after her.

While one theory suggested Stephanie could be in prison, other fans are convinced she was adopted and might even have a new identity. One theory read: "So Stephanie... #Emmerdale. In prison with Meena?" Another said: "Maybe they was really young when they had her and was forced to adoption as Ruby's parents refused to help."

Another comment read: "So Helen and Caleb referred to Ruby being disowned when she got pregnant by Caleb - seems reasonable to assume Stephanie is therefore the baby born circa 1996 and either never mentioned cos they have all fallen out or maybe she had to be adopted - in which case we're looking for a girl about 28 years old who maybe isn't called Stephanie anymore?????"
