GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes is reportedly planning a future with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander, as the pair are said to be 'very much in love' and want to move in together

Eamonn Holmes is reportedly eyeing up both a trip down the aisle and a house move with his new love interest, Katie Alexander.

The 64-year-old GB News presenter went public with his relationship after announcing his split from co-star Ruth Langsford in May. Eamonn and 42-year-old relationship counsellor Katie have been spotted looking very much an item, recently enjoying a romantic getaway to Spain.

A source claimed their bond is tightening by the day, revealing: "Eamonn has been very solitary, he only wants to be with Katie." Adding to the love story, the insider continued the say the future could involve wedding bells.

Speaking to Closer Magazine, they said: "She wants marriage and thinks he's her soulmate. They want to buy a house in Belfast and be together." Despite her heartbreak, Ruth has kept a stiff upper lip, maintaining her composure both in public and while presenting on ITV's Loose Women. Friends such as 'TV son' Rylan Clark and fellow presenter Coleen Nolan have reportedly been her support pillars.

Katie herself comes from a counselling background, having provided relationship advice professionally, and is understood to have known Eamonn for some time. Already a mother-of-three and once divorced, snapshots from Ibiza showed Katie and Eamonn sharing public displays of affection, as he continues to wear his wedding ring, reports OK!.

Another source for The Sun weighed in on the relationship developments, stating Ruth has been left "gobsmacked" by Eamonn's grand gesture for Katie treating her to the Spanish holiday. According to the insider, "Eamonn's zest for her [Katie] - the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip - has wowed Ruth and pals. He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed. The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness. Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps - and now everyone is starting to believe her."

The GB News anchor and his ex-wife parted ways earlier this year, with a spokesperson confirming in May that they were getting divorced but intended to keep things friendly. The former couple share a 22-year-old son named Jack together, and Eamonn also has three grown-up children from a previous marriage.
