Meghan Markle was among a bevy of A-list attendees at the grand opening of Godmothers, a bookstore on Saturday in Summerland, Calif., just south of Montecito, where Markle and Prince Harry, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Jane Lynch and more local stars aligned. The Duchess of Sussex attended the weekend festivities showcasing another look that matched her era of quiet luxury style.

For the occasion, Markle opted for a black, sleeveless jumpsuit courtesy of Club Monaco. The jumpsuit featured a sharp collar and buttons running down the front placket of the piece. Wide-leg pants gave the jumpsuit a breezy, movable look and a belted waist gave the jumpsuit a defined silhouette.
The American Riviera Orchard founder paired back her accessories to keep the look clean and simple. She wore her signature Cartier watch and a few bracelets along with a delicate necklace. Markle also wore her hair up into a casual ponytail style.

While speaking at the event, Markle praised Godmothers cofounders Victoria Jackson and Jennifer Rudolph Walsh for “creating and holding the space…to feel seen. To know you’re not alone and to see your story reflected in someone else’s.”
Prior to her toast at the Godmothers grand opening, Markle attended an event at the bookstore alongside her husband of six years, Prince Harry. The couple posed for photos with Walsh and Jackson.
Markle favored pieces courtesy of Ralph Lauren for the Friday night event, wearing a white ribbed tank top and silk wide-leg trousers in a shade of cream. She opted for pieces of delicate jewelry from her collection, keeping her attire seamless and simple. She previously wore pieces by Ralph Lauren during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s joint interview for CBS’ “Sunday Morning” last August.
Since taking a step back as senior members of the British royal family in 2020, Markle and Prince Harry have wholly embraced their new life in California raising their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
