Producer Ekta Kapoor recently shared her thoughts on the approach behind her upcoming project, Sabarmati Report, emphasising the need for a balanced portrayal of the event’s origins and development.

Responding to a question about whether the show addresses all aspects of the incident, Kapoor said, “It (Sabarmati Report) aims to cover the genesis of the event – the pehla pahlu (first aspect) – without undermining the other pehloos (aspects). Unfortunately, this initial phase, how it all started, has not been reported enough.”

Kapoor added, “That’s why we have decided to tell you how it started, without undermining what happened later,” she explained. “It doesn’t mean that by telling one story, you undermine the other. You’re just showing people that it’s not only about one side; it’s about how it started. Very different.”
