Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are sure Pete Wicks is "truly cursed" after learning about his dance for this week.

Pete and Jowita are set to perform a Rumba to Don't Look Back In Anger, leading fans to predict trouble for the duo. A Reddit user commented: "Truly cursed", reacting to the song and dance pairing, reports the Express.

Another viewer expressed: "Pete doing a rumba, that's going to fuel the rumours also that song I wouldn't associate with a rumba," while another added: "A rumba to don't look back in anger wtf no."

The couple has received varied feedback from the judges on their performances so far, including a Samba to George of the Jungle for Movie Week, and a Quickstep to Town Called Malice.

Discussing his reasons for participating in the show, he shared: "I've realised life's too short. I lost my nan two years ago, and it's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't get a chance to make her proud before she died. Trying new things, and being a better version of myself, is important to me, because hopefully, she's watching, and she'll be proud."

Another Strictly Come Dancing couple will be leaving the dance floor this weekend on the BBC show, hot on the heels of Nick Knowles' departure last week.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Nick said at the time: "I've really, really been surprised by how much I've loved doing it and by two things that happen. One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don't want to let down your partner. The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba's changes, she's been amazing."

He continued praising his dance partner: "Luba's been amazing and just been so fabulous every day. And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people. There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series."
