Tess Daly's lookalike daughter Phoebe stuns at Strictly live shows
by RUTH FRANCIS FOR MAILONLINE · Mail OnlineTess Daly's daughter, Phoebe, stepped out in bold animal print as she attended the Strictly Come Dancing quarter finals on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old, who Tess shares with husband Vernon Kay, 50, was spotted at the BBC studios alongside Lois Maya Logan, daughter of Gabby Logan, for the show's Musicals Week.
Phoebe stood out in a sleeveless halter neck animal-print top, paired with sand-coloured trousers and silver heels, while Lois complemented the look with her own animal-print shirt.
Tess, 55, recently opened up about her experience watching Phoebe leave home for university.
Speaking to Hello! she said: 'I remember when she first went, with all her bags and her first frying pan… a plate for one, knife and fork for one. I was heartbroken just dropping her off and waving goodbye.'
Despite the initial sadness, Tess revealed Phoebe visits regularly.
Reflecting on motherhood, Tess previously described her parenting journey as 'precious,' saying: 'I'm lucky, as I've got two really good girls. You have to negotiate those teenage moods and hormones.
'They want to be in their bedroom, talking to their friends; they want to socialise, but that's just part of the process.
'I'm really hands-on because I just love it. For me, every step along the journey of parenting has been precious, because I know one day they'll grow up and leave, and I'm not even ready to think about that yet.'
Tess and Vernon, who are also parents to daughter Amber, 14, married in September 2003.
Since turning 18 last year Phoebe has started creeping into the public eye, making her red carpet debut alongside her father at the John Wick Chapter 4 premiere last March and standing beside him at Winter Wonderland last month.
While TV presenter Vernon was on hand to support his daughter, he previously revealed that he and Tess insist his children don't live off their fame and must form 'their own careers.'
It's an important factor for the celebrity duo, who both fell into fame after being scouted as models and then turning to television.
Speaking to MailOnline in 2022, Vernon said he and his wife believe it's important for their offspring 'to find themselves' and not be given their 'life on a plate', crediting the pair's Northern backgrounds for shaping their parenting beliefs.
Vernon said: 'We let them be independent when it comes to them and their futures because it's important that you allow them to find themselves, which is character building and personality development.
'Sometimes I think that the old silver spoon and life on a plate in front of them… I think that's quite contradictory to how you want them to be.
'Tess and I grew up in hearty, wholesome Northern families and that's a huge trait that helped us in our personal development and I think that's really important.'

He added: 'I don't disagree with anyone that does that by helping their kids, which is great, but I just think sometimes for us, personally, it's whatever they're into, they can go and discover themselves.'
Tess is of the same thinking as her husband, telling MailOnline in 2021 how she kept her children 'grounded' against the trappings of fame and raises them with 'morals, respect and a work ethic.'
The Strictly host revealed that Phoebe didn't realise her mum worked on TV until she was seven years old as she and Vernon worked to keep their family shielded from the limelight.
Tess admitted 'it has never been about us at home' when talking about the importance of keeping her career separate from motherhood.
She explained: 'They are so grounded they know the value of everything. It is everything for us.
'They have good morals and respect others. It's everything. They build their self-esteem via you. It is so important to us to keep them grounded.
'It has never been about us at home – it is about them and their lives and us at a family. Phoebe didn't even know I worked on TV until she was about seven!
She had no idea until she saw me once and said "there's my mum!" She just thought I went to work on a Saturday because to them it is work.
'Of course they thoroughly enjoy it and they loved watching their dad on I'm A Celeb, they love Strictly – but it is part of what we do and it doesn't define who we are to them. We're just mum and dad.
'It's really important for me that I don't take away my children's work ethic and their chance to find their own role in life by overshadowing them with your own.
'It is important they learn to find their own way. It is not about us and ego has no place in our house. They are good, hard-working girls and we're really proud of them. They're growing up!'
