Senior NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bandra East, Mumbai. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

According to a police officer, two persons were detained from Andheri east soon after the shootout and further investigations are underway by the Crime Branch.

Baba Siddique, former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead outside his MLA son's Bandra office in Mumbai on Saturday. The leader was rushed to Lilavati hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Baba Siddique shot dead: As per sources, two people have been taken into police custody. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has also started investigating the murder case of Baba Siddique.

Baba Siddique of the Ajit Pawar-led NCPwas shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra East on October 12 evening. Two suspects were detained by the Mumbai police while, the thrid accused is absconding.

The firing took place outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui's office.
