Maha Kumbh 2025: The Uttar Pradesh government has declared the Maha Kumbh area of ​​Prayagraj a new district, which will be known as Maha Kumbh Mela district. This 76th district has been formed to smoothly manage the special event of Kumbh Mela and conduct administrative work in a better manner, an official statement said.

The Mahakumbh Mela district includes the entire parade area and 67 villages of four tehsils Sadar, Soraon, Phulpur and Karchana. According to the notification, 25 villages of Tehsil Sadar, three villages of Tehsil Soraon, 20 villages of Tehsil Phulpur and 19 villages of Karchana Tehsil have been included in the new district. The Maha Kumbh 2025 will be held at Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26.

January 14, 2025: Makar Sankranti (First Shahi Snan)

January 29, 2025: Mauni Amavasya (Second Shahi Snan)

February 12, 2025: Maghi Purnima

February 26, 2025: Maha Shivratri (Final Snan)

Drones Deployed In Prayagraj To Ensure Security

As many as 20 high-tech drones have been deployed to monitor activities in the area. The advanced drones provide round-the-clock surveillance, capturing every detail of the massive gathering, an official statement said.

The drones are programmed to focus on even the smallest movements, ensuring a highly secure environment, it said. Every development work, from the Sangam to the Maha Kumbh, is being closely monitored. The highlight of these arrangements is the use of special drones, which provide real-time updates on every detail of all 25 sectors of the Maha Kumbh with just a single click.

Special security measures are being implemented to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees attending the Maha Kumbh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Prayagraj on December 13, where he will perform the Maa Ganga 'aarti' and inaugurate several development projects.

This time, the Mahakumbh will boast a much larger fairground, expanding by an additional 800 hectares compared to the 2019 Kumbh.
